SWALtradition™ Acoustic

Acoustic fabric
that enhances your comfort.

Acoustic transparency of the fabric

Thanks to its acoustic permeability, the SWALtradition™ Acoustic stretched fabric allows sound waves to pass through unimpeded. The batting dampens sound and eliminates reverberation without causing echoes.

SWALtradition™ Acoustic

What is an acoustic fabric wall, and why should you install one?
It reduces sound reverberation and adds an elegant touch to your walls.

Listen to an audio clip of the sound insulation and experience the quiet.

An acoustic stretch wall reduces sound reverberation in a room and serves as wall covering. It consists of a stretched fabric mounted on tension profiles, installed in front of sound-absorbing insulation such as acoustic batting, glass wool, rock wool, or wood wool.

The wall fabric used does not have sound-dampening properties on its own. It is referred to as a “sound-transparent” fabric that allows sound to pass through so that the absorbent batting, placed behind it, can work effectively. This results in improved acoustics and neutralizes noise pollution. Note that it is also possible to create acoustic stretch ceilings using the SWAL™ system.

Thanks to its width of up to 2.80 m, the SWALtradition™ Acoustic stretch fabric can cover very large areas without seams, creating a more uniform finish.

It’s the perfect solution for improving acoustics in offices, shared workspaces, meeting rooms, home theaters, and living rooms, while adding an elegant finish to your walls. Our acoustic fabrics are also available in printed versions to create stunning acoustic wall murals.

Decorative stretched wall
sound-absorbing and acoustic

In many spaces, hard walls and smooth surfaces cause sound to reverberate : voices echo, noises overlap, and the atmosphere becomes tiring. This is the case in open-plan offices, meeting rooms, minimalist living spaces, and home theaters, where sound loses its clarity.

Acoustic wall treatment reduces these noise disturbances by absorbing sound waves. The result : less echo, more pleasant conversations, improved concentration, and a more comfortable environment.

Acoustic stretch walls are an effective solution for improving acoustics without compromising the style of the space. With a stretch wall fabric such as SWALtradition™ Acoustic, combined with sound-absorbing batting, you can significantly improve acoustic comfort while creating a modern, understated, and durable wall finish.

SWALtradition™ Acoustic

How can you customize an acoustic stretch wall, and what are the options ?
Solid, printed, or backlit finishes for a custom design.

The SWALtradition™ Acoustic system offers several finish options. The standard finish, SWALtradition™, features a plain, understated, and elegant fabric that highlights the textile material while blending discreetly into any type of interior, whether commercial or residential.

For those looking for a more graphic or original touch, the SWALprint™ printed version allows you to customize walls with an image, pattern, or logo, printed in high definition directly onto the fabric. This option is particularly well-suited for spaces such as lobbies, offices, hotels, and cultural venues where visual identity is important.

Finally, to create a unique ambiance, the backlighting option allows you toadd LED lighting positioned behind the fabric, casting a soft glow through the material. This solution works equally well with both solid-colored and printed fabrics, enhancing the atmosphere and design of the space while significantly reducing reverberation within a room.

SWALtradition™ Acoustic
A stretched wall fabric
to enhance your home

Perfect for home theaters, this acoustic fabric panel enhances the listening experience
and creates an immersive atmosphere, with an elegant look and a minimal footprint.

The final acoustic performance of an acoustic fabric panel therefore depends primarily on the quality and type of insulation used. For example, our SWALsoft™ Acoustic batting has a sound absorption coefficient (ɑw) of 0.70, which indicates a very high capacity to improve acoustic comfort.

When combined with the SWALtradition™ Acoustic fabric, this system provides an effective solution for improving wall acoustics in offices, meeting rooms, home theaters, and living spaces.

Therefore, the choice of batting or insulation is critical to the system’s effectiveness. Soundproofing performance is all the more effective when the sound-absorbing material has a certain thickness. Our wall acoustic panels range from 10 mm for the thinnest and most effective to 100 mm for the thickest.

Installing an acoustic stretch wall is simple, quick, and requires no major construction work. The SWALtradition™ Acoustic stretch fabric is cold-mounted onto tension profiles specifically designed for walls, ensuring the fabric is perfectly taut. All the materials you need to create your acoustic wall are available in our online store dedicated to stretch fabric installation.

Before installing the fabric, a sound-absorbing batting or mineral wool (rock wool, glass wool, or, more recently, wood wool) is installed and secured to the wall. The stretched fabric is then used to cover this layer.

Outlets and switches integrate seamlessly into this audio system thanks to our accessories available in our online store, under the “Accessories” section. If you have any specific requirements, please feel free to contact our team via our contact form, where you can describe your needs. A SWAL™ expert will certainly have the solution.

To accommodate different configurations, two types of profiles are available. The ClipSWAL™ CSW 108 Optima allows the fabric to be hemmed so that the fastening with tension rods remains hidden and the profile is not visible. The ClipSWAL™ CSW 108 Plus, on the other hand, is specially designed for corners and allows two pieces of fabric to be joined, whether at a wall-to-wall or wall-to-ceiling junction.

What budget should you allocate for an acoustic stretch wall, and how is it calculated?
A transparent approach to understanding the costs involved in your project.

The cost of an acoustic stretch wall varies depending on several factors. It depends on the surface area to be covered, as well as the finish you choose : the standard SWALtradition™ version, a printed fabric with SWALprint™, or the backlit option, which adds a lighting effect.

In addition, the choice of material placed behind the stretched fabric, such as SWALsoft™ Acoustic batting or other insulation materials—also affects the price. Prices generally range from €110 to €150 per square meter, including installation. This price range is a rough estimate, but every project is unique.
